With the genetically created Indominous rex totally over powering T-rex in Jurassic World to win the crown of ultimate killing machine, had nature given the best chance, could T-rex grow any bigger? could he win back his crown?
It is about 40 ft or 12.4 m long,
about 15-20 ft or 4.6-6 m tall,
and surprisingly weighs much less than estimated (due to the recently discovered hollow structure of their bone)- about 7 tons.
This also allows it to run much faster than estimated-about 11.1m/s with a leg movement angle of about 36 degrees.
Also, they have an insane bite force of about 57000 N or, 12810 lbs per tooth.
Since we are assuming the optimum conditions, we will not go into environmental or anatomical conditions.
The only limit to how big can it get is the Square Cube law and the Nervous Impulse. The biggest land animal to have ever existed and found evidence of is a Brachiosaurus (about 104 ft) so we will compare to its bones for most anatomical advantage.
By Square Cube law, that would give us a limiting multiplier of 10x.
The result is a gigantic T-rex with,
A length of insane 400 ft or 124 m,
about 200 ft or 60 m tall,
weighing a terrible 7000 tons,
and a super insane bite force of 12.8 X 10^6 lbs per tooth.
Also at a running speed of about 110 m/s.
Before we put the final conclusion, we would also have to consider the nerve impulse speed as it would be of no use unless it has got a reflex of a predator. Considering the impulse speeds of - muscles(119 m/s) and touch(76.2 m/s) it is pretty good as new- no restrictions there.
Our monster T-rex would result to be about 20 Stories tall, almost as long as 2 (1.7 times to be exact ) Boeing 747 s and would weigh as much as about 1167 heaviest African elephant ever to be measured. And last but not the least, it would have a whopping bite force of about 30 heaviest measured blue whales, per tooth- yah, it would be one hell of a monster !
