Step Into Photography: REQUIRED FOR PHOTOGRAPHY- Many people often seem to pet a thought that if he/she hold a best featured SLR or any other camera obscura, then only he/she would be able to click fabulous pictures. Petting such types of thoughts is not preferable by any post photographers. It is very right to follow the common saying – “Its not the machine but the man behind the machine that matters”. I can clarify this above statement with the help of my own’s life’s greatest experience in the field of photography. I’m just a teenager at this moment [26-june-2012]. It was 6-april-2009 when I received my first camera Cannon Powershot A1000-IS. I kept on clicking snaps on it since 3 years. Unknowingly I was in a process of clicking good pictures in different modes. My uncle who is a skilled and trained photographer noticed that and as his reaction he started teaching me different aspects, principles and forms of photography. He started teaching me by a book of P.A.D. [Photographic Association of Dumdum] written by the renowned film-maker Late Satyajit Ray. I was introduced in the field of photography by the history of its instruments. Before I was unaware of any object named as SLR, but got to know about it from my uncle during I received photographic lessons from him. He showed me his machine but never left me click photos on it. He warned me that not to use a SLR at that moment as I was less learned about photography and its instruments and opposing his words may ruin my photographic skills. But like a true stubborn child I disobeyed his saying and try to explore more on photography through a SLR of my friend. I found it too hard to control and realized that I need to learn more on my mini-cam to step ahead into a SLR. After a year have passed working with my auto-focus camera I got sick of it cause many a times so happen that I tried to fix the point of focus at a distance but the camera didn’t support me. Then onwards I tried to fix my focus using a magnifying glass by one hand and my camera by another hand. When my uncle noticed my level of skill to own a SLR he suggested my parents to fetch me one. Ah ! at last on 18-may-2012 I was gifted with a D3100. But still it would be an unfair suggestion to strictly follow the saying – “Its not the machine but the man behind the machine that matters”, as after my working with my SLR makes me feel different and there are obviously some extra features in a SLR than any other camera.
